Loneliness in a family

It is not uncommon to go through challenges that you think no one understands how you feel, not even your spouse or close relatives and friends, it is not uncommon to feel lonely. You can be in a relationship and feel lonely, affections crushed, feel like you are not been cared for or loved.

God’s intention of you is not to be lonely, the word of God in Psalms 68 verse 6 says “God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing”. God’s desire for the lonely; who seem to have no friends; who are destitute, who are in a marriage but are lonely, wretched and forsaken is to give a comfortable dwelling.

From the beginning, as recorded in the Book of Genesis, God planned for man and woman to unite in love and marriage for the continuity of his creation and He released His blessings upon the human family. The family provides a framework for each family member to grow as a person in love and security. God’s desire is to make your home or family a comfortable and loving dwelling.

It is however, not so in some cases because the devil also has his own plans to make you feel rejected, alone and not loved by your friends and families. God’s Word provides hope and strength. There is someone who is closer than a brother and is always with you; Jesus Christ is our friend and comforter.

God’s Word in Deuteronomy 31:6 says “6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
In the book of Isaiah 41:10, the Word of God says “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”.

It’s is important that you first embrace the love that God has for you as His child before you embrace any love any human has for you. God’s love will help you in loving others and making them feel loved and not lonely.
